Ptolemy XI Alexander II was the last king of the Ptolemaic dynasty. He was the son of Ptolemy IX and Cleopatra III. He ruled jointly with his mother, Cleopatra III, for the first two years of his reign. In 116 BC he married his sister Cleopatra IV, but she soon died, so he married his sister Cleopatra Selene. In 115 BC, he was killed by a mob in Alexandria.
