Gong Li (Chinese: 巩俐; born 31 December 1965) is a Chinese-born Singaporean actress, often regarded as the greatest actress in China today. She starred in three of the four Academy Award for Best International Feature Film-nominated Chinese-language films. Gong was born in Shenyang, Liaoning, and grew up in Jinan, Shandong.
