Baldwin of Luxembourg (c. 1285 – 21 January 1354) was the archbishop and elector of Trier and archchancellor of Burgundy from 1307 to his death. From 1328 to 1336, he was the administrator of the archdiocese of Mainz and from 1331 to 1337 (with interruptions) of the dioceses of Worms and Speyer. He was one of the most prominent German prelates and statesmen of his age, and the most effective ruler of Trier during the late Middle Ages.

He was the president of the Commission of the Bishops' Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) from March 2018 to 2023. He is a member of the Jesuits. In addition to studies and pastoral work in Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg, he studied in Japan from 1985 to 1989 and worked there from 1994 to 2011. Pope Francis raised him to the rank of cardinal on 5 October 2019, He is the first cardinal from Luxembourg. He is also a member of the Council of Cardinals.
