Marit Bouwmeester (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmaːrɪd ˈbʌuˌmeːstər]; born 17 June 1988) is a Dutch sailor. Bouwmeester won the gold medal in the Laser Radial class in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and again in the Laser Radial class at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in Weymouth. In 2017, she won the World Sailor of the Year Award. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, competing in Laser Radial and winning the bronze medal. Read more on Wikipedia
