Bowen Yang (born November 6, 1990) is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, podcaster, and writer. Yang was a staff writer for the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in 2018, and a cast member for seven seasons from 2019 until his departure in 2025. He became the first SNL featured player to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award (in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category) in 2021, the same year he was promoted to repertory status.
