She is often known for her TV role as Violet in Just William (1977-1978) and Melanie Bush in Doctor Who (1986-1987, 2022-2025). Langford portrayed Carmel Kazemi on the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2015 to 2018, receiving the 2016 British Soap Award for Best Newcomer.
