Abbas II was the last ruler of the Muhammad Ali dynasty. He was the grandson of Muhammad Ali of Egypt and the son of Tusun Pasha. He ascended to the throne in 1848 at the age of 12 when his father died. Abbas II ruled until 1854, when he was deposed by his uncle, Said Pasha.
