Samuel Cooke, detto Sam (Clarksdale, 22 gennaio 1931 – Los Angeles, 11 dicembre 1964), è stato un cantante, compositore e produttore discografico statunitense, di musica gospel, R&B, soul e pop. Musicisti e critici oggi lo ritengono uno dei fondatori della soul music e uno dei più importanti cantanti della storia di questo genere.
