Huang Chao (835-13 de julio de 884) fue un contrabandista, soldado y rebelde chino, conocido principalmente por ser el líder de una gran rebelión que debilitó gravemente a la dinastía Tang. Huang era un contrabandista de sal antes de unirse a la rebelión de Wang Xianzhi a mediados de la década de 870.
