Ragne Wiklund is most famously known as a leading Norwegian long-track speed skater specializing in middle- and long-distance events, highlighted by her historic silver medal in the women's 3000m at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics—ending Norway's 46-year medal drought in women's Olympic speed skating (since 1980)—and her earlier breakthrough as the first Norwegian woman to win gold at the World Single Distance Championships (1500m in 2021). She has dominated recent seasons with multiple World Cup long-distance trophies, European Championship golds (including the first-ever for a Norwegian woman in 2026), and strong performances in 5000m events.
