His biography is available in 28 different languages on Wikipedia. Abbas Araghchi is the 56th most popular diplomat, the 291st most popular biography from Iran and the most popular Iranian Diplomat.

Abbas Araghchi is most famously known as one of Iran's leading nuclear negotiators, having played a key role as deputy foreign minister in securing the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal with world powers, and later leading efforts to revive it. He is currently Iran's Foreign Minister (since August 2024), where he has been prominently involved in ongoing indirect nuclear talks with the United States amid heightened tensions. Surprisingly, despite his reputation for pragmatic diplomacy and authoring a book on negotiation tactics, he maintains close ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and has been described as a hardliner loyal to the regime's core principles.
