Sabrina Elaine Ionescu ( yə-NESS-kew; born December 6, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She is widely considered one of the greatest three-point shooters in WNBA history and is credited with improving the popularity of women's basketball. Ionescu played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks, where she twice won the John R. Wooden Award and Wade Trophy, earning consensus national player of the year honors as a senior.
