Sheikh Sabah III Al-Salim Al-Sabah (12 April 1913 – 31 December 1977) (Arabic: صباح السالم الصباح) was the Emir of Kuwait from 24 November 1965 until his death in 1977. The youngest son of Salim Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Sabah succeeded his half-brother Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah upon his death in 1965. He suspended parliament in late August 1976 for four years, claiming it was acting against the nation. Read more on Wikipedia
