Colin Agnew McDonald (15 October 1930 – 1 January 2026) was an English football goalkeeper. McDonald played for Burnley from 1948 to 1950 and from 1951 to 1961, making 201 appearances in total with the club, until a leg injury in 1959 forced his retirement as a professional player. He is regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Burnley's history, and finished in 11th place in the 1958 Ballon d'Or rankings. He won eight caps for England, including four appearances in the 1958 FIFA World Cup, and was a member of the team that won the 1958–59 British Home Championship. Read more on Wikipedia
