Alphonse Francis Areola (French: [alfɔ̃s aʁeɔla]; born 27 February 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club West Ham United, on loan from Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, and the France national team. An academy graduate of PSG, Areola spent the early parts of his career on loan, enjoying spells with Lens, Bastia, and Villarreal.
