Ruddy Lilian Thuram-Ulien (French pronunciation: [liljɑ̃ tyʁam]; born 1 January 1972) is a French former professional footballer who played as a defender. A quick, powerful and versatile player, he was capable of playing both as a centre-back or as a right-back, and was competent both offensively and defensively. He began playing football professionally in his homeland with Monaco and played in the top flight in France, Italy and Spain for over 15 seasons, with notable stints in Serie A with both Parma and Juventus before finishing his career with Barcelona. With France, Thuram was a key player for the team that won the 1998 FIFA World Cup; his side also won UEFA Euro 2000, and he helped them to runners-up at the 2006 World Cup. Thuram was the most capped player in the history of the France national team with 142 appearances between 1994 and 2008 until Hugo Lloris surpassed the mark in 2022. Thuram has been described as a "studious" figure off the pitch; in 2010, he became a UNICEF ambassador, and has stood out for his initiatives to fight against racism.

Thomas Benoît Lemar (born 12 November 1995) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for La Liga club Atlético Madrid. He is known for his versatility, being able to play on both wings and through the centre. Features of his game include dribbling and passing ability. Lemar began his senior career at Caen in 2013. He played 32 times for the club, before moving to Monaco for £3.4 million in 2015, where he would win the 2016–17 Ligue 1 title. In 2018, he signed for La Liga club Atlético Madrid, winning the UEFA Super Cup in his debut season. Lemar represented France at every level from U17 to U21 and made his international senior debut in 2016 against the Ivory Coast. He was a member of the team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, also featuring at UEFA Euro 2020.

Pascal Chimbonda (born 21 February 1979) is a French football coach and professional player who is the player-manager of English non-league club Skelmersdale United. Chimbonda, a right-back, began his professional career in 1998 with Le Havre, where he featured over 100 times combined for the club's first team and B team before moving to Bastia in 2003. In 2005, he moved to Premier League club Wigan Athletic for their debut season in the top flight. He earned a place in that season's Premier League Team of the Year, but on the last day of the 2005–06 season, he handed in a transfer request. He was subsequently signed by Tottenham Hotspur that summer. After two seasons with Spurs he later moved on to fellow Premier League club Sunderland before briefly returning to Spurs in 2009. In the summer of 2009, he signed for Blackburn Rovers, where he remained until 2011, when he joined Football Championship club Queens Park Rangers. During the 2011–12 season, he was one of a number of former Premier League players who played for Doncaster Rovers, but he went on to be released at the end of the season. Having remained without a club for the following year, Chimbonda dropped down six leagues to sign non-contract terms with Market Drayton Town, remaining with them only briefly before joining Carlisle. He retired following a short stint with AC Arles-Avignon. In 2017, he came out of retirement and spent two spells with English non-League sides Washington and Ashton Town. Despite initially playing his international football for Guadeloupe, Chimbonda went on to be selected for the France squad for the 2006 World Cup. He was an unused substitute in each of France's matches, including the final, in which they lost on a penalty shoot-out to Italy. His only France cap came in a World Cup warm-up match against Denmark. Chimbonda agreed to manage Skelmersdale United in October 2023. In January 2024, Chimbonda was registered as a player for Skelmersdale United, following a three-match touchline ban by the FA.
