Peter Martin Christian Souissa (born 16 October 1947) is a Micronesian politician who served as the 8th President of the Federated States of Micronesia, from 11 May 2015 to 11 May 2019. Peter Martin Christian was among the first fourteen persons to be elected to the first Congress in 1979. He served as the Speaker of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia from May 2003 to May 2007. He was elected as a senator in 2007 representing Pohnpei at-large and re-elected in 2011. He served as the Chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Communication during his 2007 term in Congress. In March 2019, Christian lost the election to become the at-large senator for Pohnpei. Under Micronesian law, the president is chosen from among the four at-large members. As a result, Christian effectively lost his bid for re-election to the presidency. Some sources attributed the loss to a scandal surrounding the indictment in Hawaii of Christian's son-in-law, Master Halbert, an official in the FSM's Department of Transportation, Communication and Infrastructure, for receiving bribes. Christian has Moluccan blood ties. He is the third generation of a family from Haria, Maluku in Indonesia.

Leo Amy Falcam (November 20, 1935 – February 12, 2018) was a Micronesian political figure. He was born in Pohnpei. He served as the first elected Governor of Pohnpei from 1979 to 1983 and as Vice President of Micronesia from May 1997 to May 1999. He then served as the fifth president of the Federated States of Micronesia, holding the position from May 11, 1999, to May 11, 2003. In March 2003 he lost his parliamentary seat during elections, denying him a chance at a second term.

John Richard Haglelgam (born August 10, 1949, in Eauripik, Yap) is a Micronesian former politician who served as the second President of the Federated States of Micronesia.

7. Jacob Nena (1941 - 2022)

Jacob Nena (10 October 1941 – 6 July 2022) was a Micronesian politician who served as the fourth President of the Federated States of Micronesia from 1996 to 1999. Nena was born in Lelu, Kosrae. He graduated with a BA from the College of Guam and later graduated with an MA degree from University of Hawaii at Manoa. He served as deputy district administrator of Kosrae from 1970 to 1977. He became the first elected Governor of Kosrae from 1979 to 1983. Nena served as Vice President under Bailey Olter from 1991; after Olter suffered a stroke in July 1996, Nena took over as acting president on 8 November of that year and was sworn in as president on 8 May 1997, serving out the remaining two years of Olter's term. Nena died in Sacramento, California on 6 July 2022 at the age of 80.

Bailey Olter (27 March 1932, Mwoakilloa, Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia – 16 February 1999) was a Micronesian political figure. He was elected to the Senate of Micronesian Congress from Ponape district. He served as Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia from 1983 to 1987, and as the third president of the Federated States of Micronesia from 1991 to 1996. He suffered a stroke in July 1996 ending his capacity to carry out his office; his Vice President Jacob Nena served the last year of his term.
