Veselin Vujović (born 18 January 1961) is a Montenegrin handball coach and former professional player. He is the current head coach of RK Nexe Našice As a player, Vujović competed at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics for the Yugoslavia national team.

Jovanka Radičević (born 23 October 1986) is a Montenegrin handball player for RK Krim Mercator and a former player of the Montenegrin national team. She is considered to be the best right wing of all time.

Maja Savić (born April 29, 1976) is a former Montenegrin handball player, playing for ŽRK Budućnost, where she came to from Viborg HK. She plays on the left wing position, and was member of ŽRK Budućnost and Slagelse Dream Team (2004–2008). Maja Savić played for the national teams of FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. In the 2001 World Women's Handball Championship, where Yugoslavia won bronze, Maja Savić was declared the Best Left Wing of the World and member of All Star Team At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she was part of the Montenegrin handball team that won the silver medal.

Marija Jovanović (born 26 December 1985) is a retired Montenegrin handball player. She played for the Montenegrin national team. She competed at the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship, where the Montenegrin team placed sixth, and Jovanović was listed among the top ten goalscorers of the tournament (scoring 31 goals). As captain, she led the Montenegrin national team when they won a gold medal at the European Championship in Serbia. After two years spent at the Ferencvárosi, she decided to end her career and graduated in Business Economics in 2018. She has been in private business ever since.

Sonja Barjaktarović (born 11 September 1986) is a retired Montenegrin handball goalkeeper. She was the first goalkeeper of the Montenegro women's national handball team and helped them to win the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Suzana Lazović (born 28 January 1992) is a retired Montenegrin handballer that played for ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica and the Montenegro women's national handball team. She was part of the Montenegrin teams that won silver at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and gold at the 2012 Women's EHF European Championship. She was also on the Budućnost team that won the 2012 EHF Women's Champions League and 2015 EHF Women's Champions League. The team were also runners up in the 2013-2014 season. Lazović won the award for best defender in the 2013 Champions League. She participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Brazil, but Montenegro did not progress from the group stages. She had to retire at the age of 25 due to injuries, including a severely herniated disc, heart ablation and a neck injury, and moved into handball coaching. She coached the Montenegrin junior team. She then moved to China and coached their youth, junior and senior teams. During her reign, the Chinese junior team reached the last 16 of the IHF Women’s Junior World Championship, for the first time in 33 years. She has also coached at club level with the Hungarian team, Alba Fehervar. She was the Montenegro's coach at the 2024 European handball championships. Despite her success at handball, her original sport was judo. As a junior, she won the Serbia and Montenegro national championship. She signed her first professional contract at 16, for Budućnost. She played for them for her entire career.
