1. Athanasios Vouros (1801 - 2000)

With an HPI of 43.22, Athanasios Vouros is the most famous Greek Fencer.  His biography has been translated into 17 different languages on wikipedia.

Athanasios Vouros (Greek: Αθανάσιος Βούρος) (1871 – 14 May 1959) was a Greek fencer. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens. He was born in Athens. Vouros competed in the foil event. He placed second of four in his preliminary group after winning his match against Georgios Balakakis, losing to Eugène-Henri Gravelotte, and winning by forfeit against Konstantinos Komninos-Miliotis. Because he had only won one actual bout, Vouros was considered to have won fourth place behind Perikles Pierrakos-Mavromichalis, who had placed second in his preliminary group but had won two bouts without forfeits. However, nowadays appears as having won also the third place and a bronze medal.

2. Theodora Gkountoura (b. 1997)

Theodora Gkountoura (Greek: Θεοδώρα Γκουντούρα; born 14 March 1997) is a Greek sabre fencer. She participated at the 2019 World Fencing Championships, winning a bronze medal. She won again the bronze medal at the 2023 World Fencing Championships, defeated in the semi-final by the world champion Misaki Emura by 15-14. She has won the silver medal in the Orléans Grand Prix 2021 and the gold medal in the Grand Prix of Seoul in 2023. As for the World Cup, she has won the bronze medal in Athens in 2020, the silver medal in Tbilisi in 2022, the bronze medal in Algiers in 2022, the silver medal in Tashkent in 2023, the bronze medal in Athens in 2023, the bronze medal in Sint-Niklaas in 2023, the bronze medal in Algiers in 2023 and the bronze medal in Sint-Niklaas in 2024. She has also won the bronze medal at the individual women's sabre event of the 2023 European Games So far, she has reached a career highest ranking of 3rd place in the 2021–2022 season. She has been a fencing athlete of AEK multi-sport club, but she's currently an athlete of A.O. Ariston Paianias. She has been 4 times champion in sabre in Greece.

Despina Georgiadou (gr. Δέσποινα Γεωργιάδου) is a Greek sabre fencer. She won the silver medal in the women's sabre event at the 2023 World Fencing Championships held in Milan, Italy. Previously, she had won one of the bronze medals in the women's sabre event at the 2022 World Fencing Championships held in Cairo, Egypt. She won a silver medal in World Cup 2022 in Hammamet, Tunisia, a gold medal in World Cup 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and a bronze bedal in World Cup 2023 in Algiers, Algeria. She has also won the gold medal in the Grand Prix of Orléans, France, 2021, the bronze medal in the Grand Prix of Orléans, France, 2022, and the gold medal in the Grand Prix of Tunis, Tunisia, 2023. She has reached a highest end-of-season ranking No 3 in sabre in 2021/2022 season and a highest ranking No 2 in March 2023. The latter is the highest ranking ever reached by a Greek fencer. In 2018, she won a bronze medal for Greece, at the 2018 Mediterranean Games. She is a fencing athlete of the Greek club Panathinaikos and she was named Female Athlete of the Year of this multi-sport club in 2021. In 2016, she came first at the national championship. In total, she has won 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medeals in national championships.
