Gul Mohammed (February 15, 1957 – October 1, 1997) of New Delhi, India, according to Guinness World Records, was the shortest adult human being of his time whose existence and height have been independently verified. On July 19, 1990, he was examined by Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, India, and he stood 1 foot 10.5 inches (57 cm) tall and weighed 37.5 lbs (17 kg). He died on October 1, 1997, from respiratory complications and after a long struggle with asthma and bronchitis. His record was broken by Chandra Bahadur Dangi of Nepal whose height was just 21.5 inches (54.6 cm).

Indrani Rahman (19 September 1930, Chennai – 5 February 1999, New York City) was an Indian classical dancer of Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Odissi and first beauty pageant titleholder. she popularised in the west and later settled in New York in 1976. In 1952, she won the Miss India pageant and then represented India in 1st ever Miss Universe 1952. Later, she joined her mother Ragini Devi's company. She popularised the Indian classical dance form, Odissi during her international tours. Indrani had received the Padma Shri in 1969 and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in the performing arts and also the Taraknath Das Award.

Sandhu was previously crowned Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019, and was a semifinalist at Femina Miss India 2019 pageant. Sandhu has since worked as an actress.

Manushi Chhillar (born 14 May 1997) is an Indian actress, model and the winner of Miss World 2017 pageant. She represented her state of Haryana at the Femina Miss India 2017 pageant and won the title of Femina Miss India World 2017 and then went on to become the sixth contestant from India to be crowned Miss World after 17 years. Chhillar made her acting debut with the role of Sanyogita in the historical drama Samrat Prithviraj (2022), and has since appeared in The Great Indian Family (2023) and the science fiction action Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024).
