He is known for his lead role as high school student Charlie Spring in the Netflix teen series Heartstopper (2022–present), for which he received a nomination for the inaugural Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance. In 2024, he starred as Billy Maximoff / William Kaplan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries Agatha All Along and as Tobias Ragg in a Broadway revival of the musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

She predominantly works in Tamil films but has appeared in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and English films. Jackson's most notable roles include Amy Wilkinson in Madrasapattinam (2010), Sarah in Singh Is Bliing (2015), and Nila in 2.0 (2018). She has won an Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award, a SIIMA Award, and a London Asian Film Festival award. In 2007, at the age of 15, Jackson began her modeling career in the UK and has since worked with designers such as Hugo Boss, Carolina Herrera, JW Anderson, Bvlgari, and Cartier. She made her American debut as Imra Ardeen / Saturn Girl in the television series Supergirl (2017), and her British debut as Nimisha in Boogie Man (2018). Jackson is a patron for charities such as the Sneha Sargar Orphanage for Girls. In 2018, she was honoured with the United Nations' International Day of the Girl Child Award. She is a vegan and an animal rights advocate who has been an ambassador for PETA since 2016, as well as supporting Elephant Family with their mission to reduce human-animal conflict in Asia.

Samantha Jane Barks (born 2 October 1990) is a Manx actress and singer who rose to fame after placing third in the BBC talent show-themed television series I'd Do Anything in 2008. She has released three studio albums: Looking in Your Eyes (2007), Samantha Barks (2016), and Into the Unknown (2021), and made her film debut as Éponine in the Tom Hooper-directed Les Misérables in 2012. Her performance in the film won her the Empire Award for Best Female Newcomer and a shared National Board of Review Award with the film's cast. Barks starred opposite Jonathan Bailey in the Disney Channel musical-comedy Groove High (2012–2013) and again, in the London revival of the musical The Last Five Years in 2016.
