Moulay Rachid (en arabe : مولاي الرشيد, en tamazight : ⵎⵓⵍⴰⵢ ⵕⴰⵛⵉⴹ), ou Moulay Rachid ben Chérif, né vers 1631 dans la région du Tafilalet et mort le 9 avril 1672 à Marrakech, est sultan du Maroc de 1667 à 1672. À la mort de son père Moulay Chérif, il se révolte contre son frère Moulay Mohammed, alors chef du Tafilalet. Il réussit à le tuer puis à prendre sa place en tant que souverain alaouite contrôlant un vaste territoire. Il s'empare ensuite de Fès le 27 mai 1667, se proclame sultan et devient le premier sultan alaouite du Maroc. En savoir plus sur Wikipédia
