Thomas Bryant Cotton (born May 13, 1977) is an American politician and former Army officer serving since 2015 as the junior United States senator from Arkansas. He previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2015, representing Arkansas's 4th congressional district. He is a member of the Republican Party. Cotton was first elected to Congress in 2012, representing Arkansas's 4th congressional district before being elected to the Senate in 2014, defeating two-term Democratic incumbent Mark Pryor.
