Juan de Oñate y Salazar (Spanish: [ˈxwan de oˈɲate] ; 1550–1626) was a Spanish conquistador from New Spain, explorer, and viceroy of the province of Santa Fe de Nuevo México in the viceroyalty of New Spain.
