Davie Selke (German pronunciation: [ˈzɛlkə]; born 20 January 1995) is a German professional footballer who plays as a striker for Süper Lig club İstanbul Başakşehir. Selke began his professional career with Werder Bremen in 2013 where he went on to score 10 goals in 36 appearances before signing for RB Leipzig in 2015 for a 2. Bundesliga record fee of €8 million. He spent two seasons with Leipzig, helping the club earn promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2016 and qualification to the UEFA Champions League the following year.
