1. Tomasz Wójtowicz (1953 - 2022)

With an HPI of 42.34, Tomasz Wójtowicz is the most famous Polish Volleyball Player.  His biography has been translated into 15 different languages on wikipedia.

Tomasz Grzegorz Wójtowicz (22 September 1953 – 24 October 2022) was a Polish volleyball player. In his later life, he worked as a volleyball commentator. As a member of the Poland national team, he won the titles of the 1976 Olympic Champion and the 1974 World Champion. Wójtowicz was considered one of the first volleyball players in the world to start attacking from the back row. In 2001, he was listed by the International Volleyball Federation as one of the top eight volleyball players in the world. In 2002, he became the first Polish volleyball player to be inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame. Wójtowicz died after a long illness on 24 October 2022, at the age of 69.

Bartosz Kamil Kurek (born 29 August 1988) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Wolfdogs Nagoya and the Poland national team. Kurek took part in 3 Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), and won the 2018 World Champion and the 2009 European Champion title. In 2019, he became the first ever volleyball player to be voted the Polish Sports Personality of the Year.

Michał Jerzy Winiarski (born 28 September 1983) is a Polish professional volleyball coach and former player. Winiarski was a member of the Poland national team from 2004 to 2014, a participant in the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), 2014 World Champion, and the 2012 World League winner. He currently serves as head coach for the Germany national team and the Polish PlusLiga team, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.

Michał Jarosław Kubiak (born 23 February 1988) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Shanghai Bright. He is a former member of the Poland national team, a participant in the Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), two–time World Champion (2014, 2018), and the 2012 World League winner.

Mariusz Łukasz Wlazły (born 4 August 1983) is a Polish former professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Poland national team from 2005 to 2014, a participant in the Olympic Games Beijing 2008 and the 2014 World Champion. Wlazły spent most of his career in Skra Bełchatów, the club with which he won 9 league titles and multiple medals in international competitions.

Katarzyna Ewa Skowrońska-Dolata (born 30 June 1983) is a former Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland women's national volleyball team and Italian club Foppapedretti Bergamo, double European Champion (2003, 2005), gold medalist of Italian, Turkish, Chinese and Azeri national championships.

Paweł Zagumny [ˈpavɛw zaˈɡumnɨ] (born 18 October 1977) is a Polish former professional volleyball player. Zagumny was a member of the Poland national team in 1996–2014 and a participant in 4 Olympic Games (Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012). During his career, he won the 2014 World Champion title, 2012 World League, and the 2009 European Champion title.

Agata Danuta Mróz-Olszewska (7 April 1982 – 4 June 2008) was a Polish volleyball player, a member of the Poland women's national volleyball team in 1997–2007, double European Champion (Turkey 2003, Croatia 2005). She died of an infection following a bone marrow transplant to treat Myelodysplastic syndrome, which she had suffered from since the age of 17.
