"Jenny" Lang Ping (Chinese: 郎平; pinyin: Láng Píng; born 10 December 1960) is a Chinese former volleyball player and coach. She is the former head coach of the Chinese women's national volleyball team and U.S. women's national volleyball team. As a player, Lang won the most valuable player award in women's volleyball at the 1984 Olympics. In 2002, Lang became an inductee of the International Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She coached the U.S. women's national team to a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in her home country. Lang later coached the gold medal-winning Chinese women's national team at the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the first person in volleyball history, male or female, to have won Olympic gold both as a player and as a coach. Lang is the main character in the 2020 biographical film Leap, in which she is played by actress Gong Li.

She was the setter and captain of the China women's national volleyball team. She was awarded Most Valuable Player and Best Setter at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where China won the gold medal in volleyball.

Zhu Ting (Chinese: 朱婷; pinyin: Zhū Tíng; born 29 November 1994) is a professional Chinese volleyball player. She is an outside hitter and former captain of the China women's national volleyball team. Currently, she plays for Imoco Volley Conegliano. Zhu and the Chinese national team have won several gold medals in international competition, including the 2016 Olympic Games, the 2015 and 2019 World Cup. Since her debut in 2011, Zhu has received 15 MVP awards at all levels of competition (including national team and clubs), particularly the MVP award of Rio Olympic Games 2016. She is widely regarded as one of the most decorated and successful indoor volleyball players of all time. She was the highest paid professional volleyball player in the world, male or female, as of the 2018–2019 season.

Ding Xia (Chinese: 丁霞; pinyin: Dīng Xiá, born 13 January 1990) is a Chinese volleyball player. She is the substitute setter of the China women's national volleyball team and has been representing the team in international competitions since 2014. At the club level, she plays for the Liaoning provincial team, which she has captained since 2013. She is known for her agility and versality on court, often utilising her strength as a left-handed setter to execute surprise spikes on second touch or from the right side of the court, thus earning her the nickname "Opposite Spiker Ding".
