Shuhrat Abbosov (sometimes spelled Shukhrat Abbasov in English; Uzbek: Shuhrat Abbosov/Шуҳрат Аббосов; Russian: Шухрат Абба́сов) (16 January 1931 – 25 April 2018) was an Uzbek actor, film director, screenwriter, and film producer. Abbasov was named People’s Artist of the USSR in 1981, later he was also People's artist of Uzbekistan. Abbosov was celebrated as one of the founders of the Uzbek film making industry.

Dmitry Vadimovich Kharatyan (born 21 January 1960) is a Soviet and Russian actor of Armenian descent, People's Artist of Russia. Was born in Olmaliq, Uzbek SSR on 21 January 1960. His debut as an actor came in Vladimir Menshov's Practical Joke in 1977. In March 2014, he signed a letter in support of the position of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, on the Russian annexation of Crimea. In April and May 2022, Kharatyan participated in a series of concerts organized in order to support the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. In January 2023, Ukraine imposed sanctions on Dmitry for his support of 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Nurkhon Yuldashkhojayeva (Uzbek: Nurxon Yoʻldoshxoʻjayeva, often anglicized as Nurkhon Yuldasheva) was one of the first Uzbek women actresses and one of the first Uzbek woman to dance onstage without a paranja. A rising star in Uzbek theater, her career was cut short in 1929 by an honor killing, she became a symbol of women’s liberation and resistance to feudalism.

He has expressed opposition to the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and his films about the fate of several prominent Crimean Tatars have been praised throughout the former Soviet Union but criticized by hardline Russian nationalists.

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub ( VYNE-troob, Russian: Милана Александровна Вайнтруб; born March 8, 1987) is an American actress, comedian, and activist. Born in the Soviet Union, she began her career as a child actress shortly after immigrating to the United States. She came to prominence for her appearances in AT&T television commercials as saleswoman Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was a series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub has also voiced Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being cast as the character in the unaired television pilot for New Warriors.
