Merle Travis (Rosewood (Kentucky), 29 november 1917 - Tahlequah, 20 oktober 1983) was een Amerikaanse country-muzikant, -zanger en songwriter. De teksten van zijn liedjes gingen vaak over zowel het leven als de economische uitbuiting van Amerikaanse mijnwerkers.
