Alexis Emmanuel Chabrier (ɛmanɥɛl ʃabʁie; Ambert, 18 gennaio 1841 – Parigi, 13 settembre 1894) è stato un compositore e pianista francese romantico. La sua famiglia borghese non approvò una carriera musicale per lui, così studiò legge a Parigi e poi lavorò come dipendente pubblico fino all'età di trentanove anni, mentre si immergeva nella vita artistica modernista della capitale francese e componeva nel tempo libero.
