Taejo of Joseon (October 27, 1335 – May 24, 1408), born 李成桂 (Middle Korean: Ni Syeng kyey(니셩계), Modern Korean: Yi Seong-gye(이성계)) was the founder and the first king of the Joseon dynasty of Korea.
