Shokan Shyngysuly Valikhanov (Kazakh: Шоқан Шыңғысұлы Уәлихан, Şoqan Şyñğysūly Uälihan; Russian: Чокан Чингисович Валиханов), given name Muhammed Qanafiya (Kazakh: Мұхаммед Қанафия, Muhammed Qanafııa) (November 1835 – April 10, 1865) was a Kazakh scholar, ethnographer, historian and participant in the Great Game.
