Sanmao (Chinese: 三毛 sān máo) was the pen name of Echo Chen Ping (born Chen Mao-ping; March 26, 1943 – January 4, 1991), a Chinese writer and translator based in Taiwan. Her works range from autobiographical writing, travel writing and reflective novels, to translations of Spanish-language comic strips.
