Josip Skoblar is most famous for his role in the assassination of Yugoslavian Prime Minister, King Alexander. Skoblar was a member of the Croatian Revolutionary Organization, which was a group that wanted to create an independent Croatia. Skoblar was a member of the Black Hand, a group within the Croatian Revolutionary Organization that was tasked with assassinating King Alexander. Skoblar and another man shot King Alexander at point-blank range, killing him.
