Georgy Sergeyevich Poltavchenko (Russian: Гео́ргий Серге́евич Полта́вченко, IPA: [ɡʲɪˈorɡʲɪj sʲɪrˈɡʲejɪvʲɪtɕ pɐlˈtaftɕɪnkə]; born on 24 February 1953) is a Russian politician. He has the federal state civilian service rank of 1st class Active State Councillor of the Russian Federation.He became Governor of Saint Petersburg in 2011.
