Danilo Medina Sánchez (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈnilo meˈðina ˈsantʃes] : born 10 November 1951) is a Dominican politician who was President of the Dominican Republic from 2012 to 2020. Medina previously served as Chief of Staff to the President of the Dominican Republic from 1996 to 1999 and from 2004 to 2006, and is a member of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
