Chen Shui-bian (Chinese: 陳水扁; Wade–Giles: Chen Shü’i-bian; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tân Chúi-píⁿ; born 12 October 1950) is a Taiwanese former politician and lawyer who served as the president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2000 to 2008.
