Glenn Thomas Jacobs, (born April 26, 1967) also known by his ring name Kane, is an American politician, actor and professional wrestler. He rose to fame in WWE and is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of his generation. In 2018, he became the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Jacobs began his professional wrestling career on the independent circuit in 1992, wrestling in promotions such as Smoky Mountain Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association before joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 1995. He played various characters until 1997, when he was repackaged as the masked wrestler Kane, a horror-themed personification of fire and the juggernaut younger half-brother of the Undertaker and son of Paul Bearer. Kane alternatively feuded and teamed with the Undertaker, the latter as the Brothers of Destruction. Following his WWF debut, he remained a pivotal component of the company's Attitude Era of the late 1990s and early 2000s, defeating top star Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship in his first pay-per-view (PPV) main event at King of the Ring in June 1998. He continued to headline PPV cards over the next 20 years, with more PPV appearances than any other performer in WWF/WWE history besides Randy Orton. In WWE, Kane won numerous championships; he is a three-time world champion (having held the WWF Championship, ECW Championship and World Heavyweight Championship once each), a 12-time world tag team champion (having held the World Tag Team Championship, WCW Tag Team Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship), and a WWE Grand Slam Champion. He holds the record for the most appearances in a Royal Rumble match at 20, as well as the highest cumulative total eliminations at 46. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. A long-term supporter of libertarian political causes, in March 2017, Jacobs announced that he was running for the mayoral seat of Knox County, Tennessee as a Republican. He won the Republican primary election on May 1, 2018, and the general election on August 2, 2018. He was reelected on August 4, 2022. Jacobs made numerous appearances in film and on television, including the lead role in the 2006 WWE Studios production See No Evil and its 2014 sequel.

Miriam Blasco Soto (born 12 December 1963) is a professional judo competitor, who resides in Alicante, Spain. She competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain where she won the gold medal in Women's Judo in the 56 kg division. By doing so, she became Spain's first female Olympic champion and first female medalist. One of the major streets in her city of residence, Alicante, was named after her. When her professional sport career finished, she became actively involved in politics. In 2000, 2004, and 2008, she was elected to the Spanish Senate for the conservative Partido Popular. She is married to Nicola Fairbrother, her opponent in the 1992 judo Olympics' final match.

Almudena Muñoz Martínez (born 4 November 1968) is a former judoka competitor from Spain who won the gold medal in women's –52 kg division at the 1992 Summer Olympics of Barcelona, Spain. Muñoz also competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States.

María Isabel Fernández Gutiérrez (born 1 February 1972) is a Spanish judoka. She is an Olympic champion, a world champion and six-time European champion. She won the gold medal in the lightweight (57 kg) division at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and received an Olympic bronze medal in 1996.

Maider Unda Gonzalez de Audikana (born 2 July 1977 in Vitoria, Spain, is a Spanish retired female freestyle wrestler. She participated in women's freestyle wrestling 72 kg at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In the 1/8 final she beat Oksana Vashchuk (Ukraine). In the quarter-final she lost to Stanka Zlateva (Bulgaria). In the repechage round, after beating Canadian Ohenewa Akuffo she lost to Agnieszka Wieszczek in the bronze medal match. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Unda won the bronze medal in women's freestyle wrestling 72 kg. In the 1/8 final she beat Ana Betancur from Colombia, and Ochirbatyn Burmaa from Mongolia in the quarter-final. She lost in the semi-final against Stanka Zlateva but beat Vasilisa Marzaliuk (Belarus) for the bronze medal. On 9 November 2016, Unda announced her retirement from wrestling after failing to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Unda runs a sheep farm in the village of Olaeta in Aramaio producing Idiazabal cheese, which she combined with her career in sports.

At the 2019 Summer Universiade held in Naples, Italy, he also won one of the bronze medals in the men's 73 kg event. In the same year, he also competed in the men's 73 kg event at the 2019 World Judo Championships held in Tokyo, Japan where he was eliminated in his first match by Mohamed Mohyeldin of Egypt. In January 2021, Turaev won one of the bronze medals in his event at the Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar. In June 2021, he lost his bronze medal match in the men's 73 kg event at the 2021 World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. Turaev competed in the men's 73 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He was eliminated in his second match by An Chang-rim of South Korea. At the 2021 Judo Grand Slam Abu Dhabi held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, he won the silver medal in his event.

Francisco Garrigós Rosa (born 9 December 1994) is a Spanish judoka. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 60 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France, the first Olympic medal for Spanish judo since the 2000 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal in the men's 60 kg event at the 2023 World Judo Championships held in Doha, Qatar. In 2016, he competed at the Summer Olympics in the men's 60 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the second round by Tobias Englmaier. In 2020, Garrigos won one of the bronze medals in the men's 60 kg event at the European Judo Championships held in Prague, Czech Republic. He won the gold medal in his event at the 2024 European Judo Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.
