Andrzej Viktor "Andrew" Schally (30 November 1926 – 17 October 2024) was a Polish-American endocrinologist who was a co-recipient, with Roger Guillemin and Rosalyn Sussman Yalow, of the 1977 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. This award recognized his research in the discovery that the hypothalamus controls hormone production and release by the pituitary gland, which controls the regulation of other hormones in the body. Later in life, Schally utilized his knowledge of hypothalamic hormones to research possible methods for birth control and cancer treatment.

With an HPI of 56.76, Oskar Minkowski is the 2nd most famous Lithuanian Physician.  His biography has been translated into 15 different languages.

Oskar Minkowski (; German: [mɪŋˈkɔfski] 13 January 1858 – 18 July 1931) was a German physician and physiologist who held a professorship at the University of Breslau and is most famous for his research on diabetes. He was the brother of the mathematician Hermann Minkowski and father of astrophysicist Rudolph Minkowski.

3. Napoleon Cybulski (1854 - 1919)

With an HPI of 54.98, Napoleon Cybulski is the 3rd most famous Lithuanian Physician.  His biography has been translated into 16 different languages.

Napoleon Nikodem Cybulski (Polish pronunciation: [napɔˈlɛɔn t͡sɨˈbulski]; 14 September 1854 – 26 April 1919) was a Polish physiologist and a pioneer of endocrinology and electroencephalography. In 1895, he isolated and identified adrenaline. He is also known for conducting one of the first EEG recordings of the cerebral cortex. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine three times between 1911–1918.
